Research Interests

I am interested in research and development of algorithms to combine physical and statistical models with image / sensor data. This integrates knowledge from different disciplines, including:

  • Applied mathematics (modeling and solving dynamical systems, numerical optimization, numerical algorithms for differential equations, statistical methods, variational and optimal control methods)
  • Computer science (computer vision, sensor fusion, machine learning)
  • Physics (conservation laws, multibody systems, kinematics, dynamics)
